Description
myrrhluz and one of her kin folks and me; we went to Bridge City, Texas and then down to Hollybeach, Louisiana. We had a lot of fun and saw wonderful stuff.
I forgot my big camera Nikon90 lol so all I had was a point and shot pocket camera. not the first time i forgot my camera.
Anyway this is in Hollybeach. It a very small town and we stop for a stop sign. These birds was in the ditch takeing a bird bath. This is the best out of six to eight shots of them.
I do not post many birds here but I like this shot.
oh these birds is common here. pick up a wildlife bird book at astop. it was free

the rocks was imported for there no rocks at all in this area of Louisiana. Just mud and dirt

A red winged blackbird? I didn't know that variety existed. I don't know about the blackbirds, but you got a terrific shot of those big awesome rocks/boulders in the background, Jock.

I've seen thousands of these birds and never seen one bathing. This is fantastic. And this is one of my favorite birds to spot in the fields. :-)
