Description
The calmest water day I've known in my 30+ holidays in the lakes. This is from Tarn Howse, a place I have photographed many times. As you may have noticed I have a fondness for landscape shots taken in the portrait format. This same place I shot in May and the differance is more than just the colours. It is the atmosphere too, plus on overcast days the flat light shows more detail. There are no shadows to hide in. I was disappointed to start with no sunshine on the day.
I now think I have got some of the most atmospheric and detailed shots I have taken there.
We never stop learning with photography!

Each one has been important to me. This picture emphasizes the greater variety of a mixed forest in the fall! Fantastic CHOICE of POV!
