Description

I took this shot in the area between Alte Ceccato and Montecchio, in the province of Vicenza. Here, in the so-called piedmont area you can see the typical landscape made of villages connected by roads and industrial parks full of small-and-medium-sized factories, called 'districts', that are the basis of the province's wealth. Even if the look is rural, the province is actually one of the oldest industrial areas in Italy, since the Republic of Venice's times. Once it was wool and silk, today a whole array of products: this province exports more than Greece and Portugal put together. Thanks to your kind comments.

Manufacturing for hundreds of years and yet I see no smokestacks, the mountains are still there as are the fields. Beautiful capture. Americans have so much to learn from Europe.
