Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

There a place called 'Angel's' not too far from where I live that looks very much like this scene. Good food too. Nice shot with vibrant red and chrome - I love chrome too. Makes no think of... Canada.

Of course, you realize that you're under arrest for taking this photo and violating the sanctity of Ruby's Diner, Marilyn. In any case, terrific clarity, composition, chrome effects, lighting and detail in this perfecto photo!

A Ruby's interior again, and a scintillating eye-popping shot. You have an angle that makes the table tops look like a 'sea' of table tops; and the rhythms come out full force with all those menus & plants & shiny table surfaces. You did a fine job of making this place glow, and it's great that you got this room with no one in it so we could see the sweep & glow of the place. And because of your angle, we see the room move back into the right side, like it's on a river or some tide...and it just naturally keeps on flowing. Wonderful sense of the place, Marilyn, and with your usual sense of light & glow & celebration. Hope the food was as good as the place looks in your shot!

Very sunny! I agree with all that chrome and colors. I see that you are standing up for this shot. Dana
