Hi Rod! Now that's a wake up call for anybody:) I recognize G4's 'stang from the blue nose in your upload from January 3, 2010 by the title of "Airplane Parts Revisited". That's the shot that brought me to your gallery in the first place:) Thank you for the dedi my friend. This is going in my favorites directly!!! Had a grand day yesterday...Tara and I trekked through three assembly lines in the Boeing plant...for the 747, the 777 and the newest 787. Modern carbon fibers are amazing...far stronger and far lighter with the result of far lighter and vastly more fuel efficient. It takes 16 weeks on the line at Boeing to build a 747, 25 days to build a 777 and a remarkable 3 days to build the new carbon fiber 787 Dreamliner. Part of the three day trick is the 787 comes in five preassembled parts made elsewhere. Boeing flys in these huge preassemblies to their Everett plant using a hugely expanded "Dreamlifter" 747 and all is joined and completed here at Paine Field in the world's largest building by volume (acknowledged by the Guiness Book of World Records). WooEee! Can you hear me saying I had a great birthday:-)))

What a great dedi for Bill's birthday! You do such good work with these composites, my friend. It's fantastic! I remember the nose/prop shot Bill mentioned! Actually, that photograph was what got both of us to remember you. (Well ... that, and the "Human Body" avatar! LOL!) The rest, as they say, is history! :)
