Description

This shot was taken at the rear of the shot of two days ago. These fungi were just out of shot and make up the complete carpet. The stump to me looks like an octopus coming to savour the shrooms!

Fantastic find and capture! :) But I think it's the shrooms that came to savour the stumps roots. ;)

The old octopus-trunk is very beautiful, as well as the colored tree in the background. A lovely capture, Jeff!

The roots are so dramatic! It's a great capture...are the fungi edible?/

There is plenty for the octopus to eat. I can't believe how dense this group of mushroons realy is. Dana

What an amazing lot of shrooms you found here and I love your octapus idea as it surely does look like that. A splendid capture.

Another excellent shot! Maybe the octopus is reaching out to protect them. I see some sheltering in his arms. Or maybe they are just singularly bad judges of character.
