Description

At the North end of the trail I ride to work, is this very large Oak tree. I pass it by so many times that I very rarely give it any thought. A few days ago, I really looked at the tree and saw some wonderful photo opportunities. this image is one of those photo-ops It's for Denise, Tara, PJ, and Andrea and all others who love diversity in their plants on one plant!

There is so much going on in the branches. All those little micro-climates, harbouring worlds of insects. You are so lucky to see these wonderful trees on your way to work. You must always start the day in a good mood.

Brilliant! So many fungi and mosses, colors and textures. A wonderful capture, Mike. At the end you still have this tree give what he deserves, already for so long.

Wonderful capture, Mike! I love old threes like this - they have personalities and "tenants". As a kid I have my favorite threes I sometimes spoke to (in my head). :o)

That's pretty cool. I loved the Mistletoe when I was a child. Then I was horrified to find out it was a parasite... Childhood trauma. lol!

The advantage of living in the realm of a cloud forest. We don't have 'em like that around here. Great shot.
