Description

Apo 2.02/ PSP Thank you for stoppping for a closer look. Any and all comments or suggestions are always welcome and appreciated. I tried out APO for a first image. I tried adjusting everything i could find to adjust, just to see what happens. Out of a long time of manipulation i managed to get this image that looks to some degree like a man's head, and added some photoshop to make it more interesting. But i have seen some very dynamic images made from APO so am sure i am missing something, will search for a tutorial today. if anyone knows of an easy to follow tutorial on APO please let me know. Have a wonderful Wednesday! Jim Yesterday's image thumb_2132479.jpg

Fantastic for your first APO image. I would suggest you search for them, there's a lot of them out there. Also look for other versions of APO and experiment.

Use the 208_3Dhack version, also visit DeviantArt and go to the Fractal Resoursces Freebies and grab the free Script Files, that's the way to get cranking with Apo. Super job for your first Apo Peace

I also see a profile in your first Apo. A suggestion from Karel about this, increasing gamma let you see much more of your creation, Jim. Then you see more flairs, and the limelights; and now he is beautiful! ;D

Thank you Claude, I did mention above that i added to the fractal with photoshop. I do not want to pretend this result is pure fractal.

Very good , you tried Apophysis 2.02 ( this is the basic-program). The newest version is 2.09. I agree with Lenord. I also use mostly the 208_3Dhack version. http://sourceforge.net/projects/apophysis/files/ look under Apophysis 3D (experimental), download Apophysis 2.08 3D hack and put it in the same folder as Apophysis202.exe For more info I am always at your service. A very good forum for Apophysis is http://woosie.net/fracfan/index.php

Sorry I cannot help Jim, as I have no idea how to create fractals. You did create something rather unique here, it looks very abstract in fact, well done, and hope you find what you are looking for, hugs Jane xx

A great first attempt at Apo. I have found it is easier to use scripts with Apo to get better results, there are heaps of free ones online, especially on Deviant Art. Have a great time exploring.

I agree with you. My first impression was strongly of a man's head. It looks like something you would see done in neon lighting (btw a much underrated art form that I have always enjoyed) in the window of a restaurant named "La Gourmando". Lots of great advice on APO; my two cents would be redundant. Great work, Jim, I know you will have fun exploring.

... Hi there :D First suggestion, yes read all of the tutorials to learn basic info, but then forget all the tutorials and create by scratch, it's plenty of similar apo images all similar Send me an email (in my homep) I will send you some tutorials and plugins. Use only apo 7x, very easy to use and enhanced but unstable :( I will also send some of my personal apo files if you promise me to experiment and make good stuff with these HELLOOOOO
