As an ecologist working in conservation in Africa, I've been lucky enough to work in some of the continent's most amazing wildlife areas - a source of great inspiration to me. But I've always wanted to spend more time on visual creative expression, and Daz's products (Studio, Hexagon and Bryce) gave me an avenue to do this. I have more recently begun working with Blender and Unreal Engine 4, both wonderful, powerful creative platforms. I hope I can use these tools for interesting artistic expression and to provide worthwhile and different perspective on appreciation and awareness of the natural world.
Here is one video I made with a 3D rhino delivering a vital message:

Wonderful composition. Probably an obvious question, but sometimes worth asking, lol, did you have any lights with shadows turned on? Was the car set to Cast Shadows "on"? I've had things load before that had shadow casting turned off. Or forgotten to set a light to cast shadows. Just a couple of things to check.

Hi Cimaira - yep I did have lights with shadows on, and the car had cast shadows on. Maybe I need to kind of plug the car into the deck's shader brick, and the man's shader brick into the cars brick or something - still learning how to do all that (virtual plumbing)!

Despite your difficulties, its a great looking scene!

As for the sea, it may come from the ambient color which is too dark, while its material is transluscent.

Thanks Flixthe! I'll try to make some adjustments on the sea Mat.
