Well heres my attempt at the kbrog method. Hope it meets with kims approval. I,ve darkened the background a little and enhanced it slightly.

Looks beautiful! I like the color of it, almost seem to glow. :) Don't have that one in my collection. FYI It's named after the founder of the Smithsonian Institution. Thanks! :) Great capture!

One of my favourite minerals. i have one in my collection of crystals, it is in a yellow colour, in a form of stalactite. Very beautiful photograph indeed. Thank you for sharing this beauty.

Now that's a tough texture to capture, but you did a good job of lighting up the crystals, especially on the right side. In the full size you can see the crystal faces. Sure wish you would post larger files so we could take a really close look.... you could put a watermark over them if you're worried about theft.
