Description
I had a hair raising moment on the park today. First Jasmine went in the mucky water in the cow field, spied the cows & walked towards them rather slowly, a big grey one got up & chased after her & frightened her to death, she ran to me with her tail between her legs. We carried on the walk round the woody bit when all of a sudden she took off :o( I followed & looked across the field she was in & thought goodness she is chasing 2 ostrich :o), I looked properly & saw they were 2 deer, aahhhhh, Munsters hunt deer!!!! I gave a loud blast on my whistle & luckily she turned & started back BUT unbeknown to me there were three & no. three was near me, so it started to run past & Jasmine spied it but I bellowed at her & slapped her lead on the trunk of the tree & she came to me thankfully, so I put her on the lead. I saw the deer again later, I couldn't get a pic as they were too far away & I also had a hot, for scent, dog on the lead. I will have to be so careful now.
So when I took Carla 'B' & Meadow I just took them in the donkey field, & kept my eyes peeled. Zlata came & when I got a bit worried when Meadow stopped and stared, Zlata tried to be helpful & did some acrobatics in front of her to try to get her attention. I thanked her & she said she will do anything to help as she is so enjoying her stay with the girls & Buck. Bless her!!!!

That is a scary part of walking dogs in places of much wildlife. We have large herds of deer on Cannock Chase. In the summer(the bit we had) Maya suddenly stopped trotting around and was sniffing something at the side of the path. When we got there we saw she was investigating a SNAKE!! There are adders up on The Chase - fortunately she did keep a bit of distance between herself and it and we called her away quickly but after that, every time she stopped to sniff we'd be over there like a shot just in case!

Sounds like a scary day in the park! I'm glad everything turned out okay! Excellent shot! I don't think Meadow is impressed by Zlata's antics, but I give her an 'A' for effort.

Oh my gosh .. I would be in a total panic of the boys took off after a deer! It's a good thing Jasmine is trained to respond, and didn't forget her training! And with Zlata's help, you were able to contain Meadow's enthusiasm! Zlata is proving to be such an invaluable helper! You are getting so very good at incorporating characters into your photos!! What fun!
