Description

Seasonal Greetings Once Again to All.... Next Card in the series for your viewing pleasure... (Card #3) FOR ALL WHO VIEW THIS..... I create these cards as a hobby of mine this time of year simply because I love creating art and look forward to the Holidays because it gives special meaning and more desire to put that little extra effort into what I love doing...I know it may sound weird that with the winter months my health goes up and down hills and I was asked once why I don't create warmer scenes instead being the fact colder weather does me in more and more year after year....Well my answer is rather simple...This was my mom's favorite time of year as well as mine and no matter what her health was at any given Christmas she would just put what was ailing her on the back burner so to speak knowing her family was coming home for Christmas and the glow she gave off was better than any known drug one could take for what ever ailed them..So for me creating these winter scenes are in a way for me a kind of therapy that (even though hard to do) I do simply because of traditional values and knowing my mom is watching and would be saying ...hey now son of mine...if I could do it all those years then so can you...(smile).. So like i stated before and will mention again for those that might have missed it... All Christmas Cards that I have created and the ones yet to come...Please feel free to upload them to your hard drive and then use what ever print program of your choosing to then print them out to send to your families and friends...My Christmas gift to all of you this Holiday Season!..I can't see me just creating these and then putting them in a folder somewhere collecting dust and really getting no use out of them except for my own personal use...kind of a waste in my opinion...so by all means...choose 1 or as many as you like and once again thanks for your continued interest in my art and all your encouraging comments and thoughts... Happy Holidays to All!! -Will- P.s...I'm working on a Christmas Train for those who like trains...(smile)

Very nice and very traditional. The yellow patina gives it that old, real Christmas card look! A favorite!

Yeah, I hurt in winter more, too. It gets colder in the high desert mountains than most know. Hurricane winds, too. Though I have no nice childhood or family memories, I still love the season. And about halfway through, I'm longing for 120*f weather again. Lol. Beautiful comp, buddy! ")

Hi Will, very well designed traditional card including the fonts in the caption. Beautiful scene. I for have developed a dislike the X-Mas season and this dislike increases as the years progress. Commercialism has seen to that over the years. Take care friend ! George

Great POV, Will. Nice to see Bryce still being used on Renderosity. Ontar1 ( Rick ) does great dragons and landscapes with it. I like the idea of Christmas Cards on the web, although I do design mine every year and print them off. I used to do them by hand ( calligraphy and illumination ), but have neither time, nor the hand and eye co-ordination these days. I usually post one, an amalgam from those I have sent or given to family, friends and parishioners. I fully support your thoughts about your parents. My father's been gone for over 15 years but occasionally gives me a wee bit of advice, just when I need it and am receptive to it. Keep well, but always do the best that you can. God bless, from a snow bound Glasgow, Scotland, John.
