Description
I finally made it into Seattle one day and the traffic was horrendous. I was looking for a small lakeside park located at 100 Mildred Street. The address turned out to be someone's house so I headed for Lake Washington. I drove into a neighborhood of fine old homes overlooking the lake but had some trouble finding access to the water.
Wandering around, I finally had a chance to use the macro lense I had purchased before the trip, the mighty Tamron 90mm. Not as sharp as I had hoped but then I'm a bit unsteady even when sober.

Wonferful Work!!!

The simple diffused light makes the colour of the central stamens sing out - " look at me ". This wouldn't have worked in full sun the white petals would have dominated. Whether by choice or not it has made a cracking flower portrait and delightful macro shot!

SPLENDID AND TERRIFIC!

The detail looks quite lovely to me. I particularly like the interplay between the black shadows and the orange stamen. I love the colors! The interplay between black and orange already mentioned, and the rich orange of the filaments leading to the yellow orange of the anthers. (Yes, I looked all those parts up. I do it so often it goes right to the page I want. I'd think it would have sunk into my brain by now.) I love the light hint of orange from the stamen, coloring the petals around it. Beautiful detail, colors, and textures! Lovely capture!

Outstanding, clean macro. cClear colors. Simply and soo beautifully. A sunbeam in the uncomfortable autumn. Class postwork! Did you photograph also a poppy flower?

Macro photography usually takes a lot of practice to perfect so I think that you have done incredibly well for your first attempt! Excellent work Mark!

Good first attempt, beautiful photos, Mark! As you know I have the Tamron intnenzione 2 years and I use it for a long time. It requires a lot of practice to make the most, its particular construction led him to work best with light angle (in this objective lens is very inward). For my part, I say bravo!

I think it looks perfect. Crisp and clear and beautiful! From what others say it's hard work but you did it fist time out. I will expect to see you make good use of your new lens and look forward to the experiments.
