"Almost ready, Evie?"
"Almost ready," came the reply.
Caightlyn began to cross the hangar to the waiting ship, where her android companion, Evie was finishing the preflight. She was excited. This trip was going to be her first to the outer solar system.
"I couldn't let you go without saying goodbye," said a new voice--a familiar voice. "Have a good trip...I love you!"
"Thanks," said Caightlyn, as she stopped and turned toward the voice. "I love you too, Mom."
