I have been into photography for over 40 years, and the pull doesnt lessen. As a family we have always been keen walkers, and that gets you to some interesting places.Ive recently been to Southern India as a member of an adult support team with our local community school to Chennai so the camera never cooled down i can tell you, (watch this space). I live in Chard South Somerset, and have fairly recently converted to digital, at first reluctantly, but now enthusiastically. Its great to hear others comments on your pictures and i am looking forward to loading up my space. Alan. Almost through my first week and inspiration levels have rocketed, thanks for all those comments they drive me on.

This made me think of the image I posted of New York City called layers. Similar, but very different. Beautiful layers here, with wonderful colors and shapes. I like the trees, making their presence know in this world of man made structures. Excellent shot!

A wonderful juxtaposition of shapes & forms across an almost 'flat' surface, even though these facades & trees are clearly moving back through space. Your spacial composition makes it a wonderful abstract, as does the flush-forward hues (with little variance in each hue to take away from their boldness), and the linear pile-up of forms across the whole. This shows, of course, that you're as adept at architectural capture as you are at nature-capture...And the piece seems to have assembled itself for you, into bands of horizontal & vertical motion, with that wonderful tree shooting from bottom to top to unify it all. A terrific pastiche of a section of a town, and the colors bespeak an almost tropical environment (which this area definitely is not!) Love that you included the fences at bottom too---they're a natural fundament to the whole.
