Hello dear Rendosians :-) First of all, let's explain the title of this image. I dedicate it to Gaius as an answer to his last image :-D In his image, he imagined a society where everything could be bought, even love (represented by a woman buying a man standing in a shopping cart). I had a real laugh when I saw this image but I must confess that our society is a consumer society wich is not always a good thing. Now, for the picture itself, I captured it today. You can see the brand new and wonderful Europa Galerie in Saarbrücken (Germany). This nice mall has opened one month ago and is a very luxuous place : you can find hundred shops, from booksellers to fine grocery stores. It was quite a big event in this corner of the country and the mall is crowded all the time as you can see on this picture. This building is also an historical place : it belonged to a mining company (coal mining is the main economical activity with steel industry in Saarland and Lorraine). That's why you can read above the main entrance "Glück Auf" (Good luck) wich was the traditional miners greeting! *************************** Voilà ! Cette image est pour toi JC. En ce qui me concerne, je suis très impressionnée par cette luxueuse galerie qui me fait penser aux malls américains, surtout qu'elle contraste avec la période de crise que connaît le monde en général et la Lorraine tout particulièrement depuis la fermeture des mines et des acieries.
