Description
This is a wall fencing the parking lot of my favorite computer shop. Just beyond the wall there is an empty area where the tree and assorted vines can riot in peace, before being fenced out of the office building where the tree mirrors itself and its autumnal glory.This is not only a graffiti-friendly area, but the owner told me he paid for the colors of the best ones.

It is a lovely looking scene. The contrasting colours still seem natural together. Takes the edge off this commercial centre.

you know, this isn't one of your history-filled pieces, it's just a wall near a shop you like with some graffiti and trees, but you have a way where, even in a simple capture, you manage to bring several worlds together under one roof & make us feel our connection to something essentially & timelessly human. You just have that way. When I first saw this (last month), I thought it was a wall with deep historical significance, or a plot of land with connections to a deep past. The graffiti is great, esp because you gave us two very different strains: The red/left strain is very modernist & mechanical, like a huge city grid pointing to a destination & even threatening to attack that destination, lol; and the bluish/right strain looks like the writing or organic designs you often see in urban graffiti; it's more delicate & seems to be standing off from the big red assault. They seem to be standing off to each other. The shop owner asked for some of the hues? Bravo! Partaking in the 'street art' that he could've considered a plague. So there you have it, 'cause there's something ancient about those scratchings and the wall & that glorious tree...and it feels like a juxtaposition of ages & culture. (I know you know Italian, so you probably know that graffiti comes from the same root as 'graph', to scratch, etch, etc; but that makes graffiti a primal act, when you think of it.) (You know, it's always hard to tell you things, ie, info, background, etc, because I'm aware of how much you know...so if I share my scattered bits of info with you, it's mostly to make my point, and if I can tell you something you don't know along the way, that's great.) That tree is lusciously budding with reds, with yellows in the background...and that modern window seems like a modern design plopped into this battle of ancient forms. (And a computer shop yet---ha!) See, that's one of many "sandra" shots! Love the juxtapositions & the description. And it's a big burst of an autumn image too. Man, you do good work!
