You are looking at the main building at the Hearst Castle that Hearst called Casa Grande. It is 60,645 sq ft (5,634 m²) of living space and 1,600 feet above the Pacific Ocean. There are three guest houses: Casa del Mar: 5,875 sq ft (546 m²), Casa del Sol: 2,604 sq ft (399 m²), and Casa del Monte: 2,291 sq ft (213 m²). The estate has 90,000 sq ft (8,364 m²) of living space, 56 bedrooms, 41 fireplaces, 19 sitting rooms and 61 bathrooms. The construction of this building took from 1919 to 1947.
