Description
Down at the water was a small patch of sand about the size of a postage stamp. To my left was this private pier and wonderful old tree.

On one of our more beautiful mountain lakes, people have bought tiny strips of land against the water. No room for a driveway for parking and not enough land to build a structure other than a short pier. They have no trespassing signs up and gates on the entrance and usually a small boat house on the end for weekend trips to sit and boat around the lake. Amazing what people will pay for...that land is prime real estate for the area. This is a stellar shot and that tree is so graceful.

Gemb1 took the words right out of my mouth ... definitely a Zen moment there or two, to sum it up - it's a striking image, superb composition Mark, worthy of a Zoom - BB

"As I went walking I saw a sign there And on the sign it said "No Trespassing." But on the other side it didn't say nothing, That side was made for you and me." (Woody Guthrie) Excellent image! There is a wonderful calmness to it. Beautiful colors, composition, and lines. I like the combination of the straight lines of the pier and the curves of the tree, the single post framed by the arch of the tree branch, and that glorious tree itself. Superb capture!
