Description

Another shot from my last little outing. This is from the woods near Glenridding at the roadside. There is (just visable on the left) a vertical cliff face. The road goes past this with a warning "beware of falling boulders". The first time I drove past I spent all my time looking up instead of on the road. I felt so brave for getting through unscathed. After passing about 100 times now over the years I wonder if it is worth having such a sign? It is like the beware of wild animals crossing. As if the animals know where they are supposed to cross! I have been lucky to miss deer on 4 occasions that have jumped out in front of me. There wasn't any warning signs near any of them.

this is a very good autumn shot, what a colors. Thanks for sharing. (When driving through northern Finland, the warning signs show mooses instead of deer. I guess in southern Africa one would have antilopes on it or so. The sign tells you what kind of animal you've just ran over. Australian signs show kangaroos, and if I recall correctly there was some fun sign in Jurassic Park as well. Should we make a thread on this?)

Never say never my friend.The sign is there for every ones safety.Another super capture my friend. I can see you had a wonderful time taking pictures in this area which you have visited.
