Description

silly title but I was unable to think of anything better. I stopped in a very small town(maybe 6 houses and post office)near Antlers, Oklahoma.I stopped actually because the street ended there!seriously it did. any way I wanted to take a picture of an old gas station and a 55' Chevy. a bunch of dogs came running out to greet me.I thought one of the pack looked strange and when I was able to get a better look, it was this doe.she seemed liked she was a dog more than a deer. she was interested in case I was an actual visitor also.first picture I have made of a "wild" deer.I seen at least 6 dead on the highway.just before I stopped, a big buck ran onto the turnpike shoulder and stopped.I started slowing down and when I got close he took off across the turnpike.better than hitting him at 80 mph thanks for your visit and any comments

Amazing capture. Someone must have brought this deer home when it was just a fawn and it grew up with dogs, otherwise its natural fear of them would have it. long gone before a dog got as close as you see here. Excellent capture.

That sounds about like the town I live in only a tad bit better LOL No kidding...........We have a lil town square.....and all the stores close about 5:30 pm....only thing that stays open until late is Micky Dee's home of Big Mac....and Pizza Hut stays open until 9 Mon-Friday....think on Sat may stay open until 10....if you ever visit your friend in Elizabethtown you should have him drive you to Greensburg, os have him show you area's around there that look like the town back in time I live in.......... Got to say this is an interesting capture of a dog and deer together firts I ever saw one that close together... Sounds like you had quiet the fun filled afternoon and quiet the chase too... Bet you were pooped after that one LOL... We just had a delicious deer roast last night for supper...a lot of people don't like to eat deer meat but as for mr I love it.... Have you been by gallery to see my new ones? If you have already many thanks...if not drop by when ya can.......Hard to remember sometimes Quite the capture here sweetie Hugs Susan~y
