Description
Huntington Beach has become my second home. People ask how I can stand being in southern California for so long. Well, it's easy--I don't have to fight freeways, I walk or ride my bike just about everywhere, I live with people who want me to just STAY, and am surrounded by scenes such as this. I am fortunate enough that I can enjoy all the good things about this area--and I do.
This particular evening a couple of weeks ago was one of those amazingly clear nights. That's Catalina Island, 26 miles across the sea (Santa Catalina is waiting for me---4 Preps, 1957.) off in the distance.

I think I had only pass by Huntington Beach on my way to Vista California to see my cousins. I wish I could have spent more time exploring California and its beaches but most of the time was spent on college time. California has one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. Your capture here is most welcoming. Aloha

Another sterling low angle light capture of your beloved milieu, Marilyn! Oh, you forgot to mention that you also avoid the rude, unfriendly and suspicious people that make up such a huge percentage of the Southern California population. Believe me, I should know, because I'm right in the middle of it.
