Description
This is possibly my first upload for November. I have just been working crazy, crazy hours. I thought of apologizing but it is my job and the latter half of the year is always busy for me - with this year overly so.
There is a very definite purpose in uploading this image which I took in Central Park on Manhattan a couple of years back! The reason - my hard work has been acknowledged and I'm heading back for another trip to the US and Canada early next year!!!!! I am so excited.... I am planning to work in some personal time while travelling around to try and meet as many of you as I can. At this stage the cities on my itinerary are Toronto, New York and Philadelphia with LA, San Francisco, Chicago and Calgary definite possibilities. I will keep you posted!
I have been scanning through the galleries and have seen all your wonderful images. I will not even try to catch up but there are some galleries that I will re-visit.
I really am missing you all and will try and be back more regularly as soon as possible.

Ek is so opgewonde om te sien jy, ek kan skaars wag! Ons is gretig wag op die finale roete. (Roete? Is that right? I mean itinerary, and I'm not sure roete is the right word.) I love this in mono ... it's such a lovely mood! I've never been to New York, but it's on my list!

I fell in love first with the thumbnail. The full image took my breath. I have photos and postcard photos from my grandfather's box of memories that look just like this. The mono is exquisitely done. It has touched my heart...and I can't wait for Costa and I to meet you in San Francisco. I'll even brave the train to get there. :-)

PJ echoed my feelings about this. Your choice of subject and the sepia tone makes this image timeless. It could be a picture from my parent's photo album. Most of my family lives in New York so I don't need much of an excuse to visit. If you can't make it to the West Coast perhaps some of us could arrange a meet-and-greet in the Big Apple. I haven't had a New York pizza in such a long time.
