Description


This is the trunk and roots of the Yew tree I spoke of in an earlier post. This shows the power and clasping nature of the roots. They pop out of the rock all over the place lower down the boulder mass.

An awesome shot! Yes, it is amazing how powerful tree roots can be!! I love the moss covered stones here in contrast to the brown of the yew tree. I'm thinking when I read that the English used to make their bows out of yew that this is the wood they were talking about. Looks like a beautiful wood!
