Description

This is the mythical bird, the Phoenix, from Ken Gilliland's outstanding Birds of Legend. I have loosely portrayed the Phoenix in one of it's descriptions by the Roman poet, Ovid, as related in Ken's tutorial. Where the fabled bird is said to build a nest in the branches of an oak & on being reborn from the body of it's parent, a young Phoenix issues forth. Thank you for your visit & comments!
