i have very different reaction to the imagery than DAGrant. the burning light with the landscape entirely made of crosses paired with the partially seen children in fetal positions and covering their faces makes this feel apocalyptic to me. it seems full of implied mass destruction to me. i find it striking and disturbing, and impressively done.
