Description
A friend with mining claims in Oregon came to visit with this nice chunk of Iron Pyrite. I jumped on the chance to photograph it. It is quite easy to see how some tenderfoot would mistake this for Gold. They were not too far wrong because in a vein of Iron Pyrite there is often a little gold along the edges.

Great capture! Not gold but beautiful! ;o)
UVDan
Thanks Rhanagaz. It is very beautiful with the cubic crystals. And it is very heavy for it's small size.
