Description

The trench was inspired by a poetry of Guillaume Apolinnaire "Desire" : "Violent night purple and dark and full of gold by instants. Nights of the men only. A night of September 24th. Tomorrow the assault. A violent night, which terrible deep shout became more intense from minute till minute. A night who shouted like a woman who gives birth. A night of the men only." This poetry was about a night before one of the great battle of WW1 : one of the scariest exemple of man foolish and self destructive behavior.
