I was in Torino (Turin) for a few days. I was born in that town, and it's always a sort of coming home for me. My first post from there is weird. In the museum of the castle (Palazzo Madama) I saw a collection of XIX century teapots. This one is called "the nightmare" ...

Very... unusual. I'm trying to comprehend why anybody thought that was a good idea for a teapot. Nice find!

I like this a lot. My mother had a teapot collection that was quite...big, but she never had anything like this. I rather like this nightmare; he looks strangely Chinese, which brings up a whole world of odd cultural possibilities. Best of all, though, it's a fantastic photograph. I love it.
