Last year I started my third period of photography after fifteen years silence.I began in the analog eighties and took primarily slides with my Pentax MX until it broke. Then, in the early nineties, I started digital photography with a very simple Logitech Fotoman. It was easy to operate because the camera didn't have any features except a flash! The surprise came ofcourse when I first downloaded pictures on my computer. The ease of working digitally convinced me. Still, after a few years, my interest declined.Until last year when I took a chance to work with a compactcamera, seeing other peoples work. In the end I bought a new camera myself. Eversince I can't imagine living without a camera.

never knew there was a ship with that name. We did not learn that at school or on Dutch media

Did you go there today? The funniest thing of this picture of course is the DOF. A wide view and lots of Rotterdam visible.. the colors give me the chills.. it looks cold out there....

What a unique view. Well done on this. I've just googled all about it and it's so nice to see it got to live on in it's current role.

great capture! it gives a very good impression on how big a boat like that is. I always love to stand at the very end of the bow and watch the see and waves. A bit like The Titanic i guess.. :)
