Description

The TARDIS brings the Doctor to Altair 6... and adventure! This is a small photo and was another experiment (doing a lot of that lately, hahaha) using the Altair 6 image I uploaded yesterday. The figure is a 5.5" toy by Character Options in the UK, as is the TARDIS, although I painted this to represent the type used by the late William Hartnell in the "Doctor Who" series from 1963-66. (As soon as I completed my repaint the company announced one, hahaha). Anyway, hope you like it, despite the size. Thanks for looking. Iain

Cool figure, very detailed.I'll bet their Tardidis isn't as good as yours. The monochrome works well, though I would love to see this bigger.

Those figures from CharActer Options are near museum quality in their detail and accuracy, aren't they? I think I have nearly everything from the "classic" series in that line. I'll continue to collect them if I can, but if conditions forced me to stop, at least I'm relatively content. I finally gained at least one version of each Doctor when CO released the "Eleven Doctor" collector set since it contained Paul McGann's likeness from the 1996 movie. Sincerely, Bill

The finishing quality isn't so good and the accuracy of late has become a big discussion point which isn't suited an art community ^_^ Needless to say that I tend to improve where I can. Unlike some collectors I only buy the figures I like - no NuWho unless to repaint, and only the classics which move me (Daleks, Cybermen, early Doctors, TARDISes...) I'm not a completist. Anyway, back to the point and thanks everyone for the kind comments. Very much appreciated.
