Description
This specimen is from Bulgaria and is one of my faves. It's flecked with tiny Quartz Crystals and I can sit for ages just wandering over it's surface with a powerful magnifying glass.

Another beautiful capture! I also have a piece of this in my collection. I REALLY need to unpack my collection...it's been packed away since I got married 23 years ago just because I really don't have a good place for it...but I started collecting when I was a little girl and whenever anyone got me a present it was usually a mineral of some kind. Hey, easy to by for, LOL. I can understand why you love looking at the surface through a magnifying glass...I have a beautiful geode on the garden tub in our bathroom that is a light lavander and I love looking into the 'cave' and seeing all of the different little crystal formations. Nature truly is full of beauty!

Beautiful! I can see why you'd spend hours with a magnifying glass on this, I feel that way looking at the picture! This absolutely must be seen at full size, it's truly a fascinating shot!

I have a few pieces of jewelry that features this mineral in it's polished state. I love the color and marbling through the stones. I'd never seen it in the raw before. Thanks for sharing this shot. : )
