Yup, it's here. Our lake is starting to look like your little bowl. I swear the older I get the harder it is to handle the cold. I felt like a popsicle today when I was shoveling snow. (Sniffle Sniffle) -15 C Brr!

Well, that's enough to frost one's.......... insulator! Cool shot, cool ice effect - and cool insulator! :-D Mine remain unfrozen - for now. They're saying it could be 17 degrees by Friday, though! Ick!

Great capture Mike! Things on my picnic table are likely frozen too, but there is over 2 feet of snow on top of everything, so wont see whats still on the table now until april sometime.

I didn't need to see this Mike. You know that I am a Florida person trapped up here in cold (about to be freezing) New Hampshire. :>) Great shot though. Dana

Oh my - that looks cold! They're predicting snow and ridiculously low temperatures in the UK for the coming weekend - so I'd better get used to it. Nice shot!

That's not too much to worry about Mike. It's –30°C in Edmonton right now! You could play with that a bit by adding just a bit of warm water and stir it until the surface is melted, then let it become still and watch it until you see the instant the whole surface freezes. It's neat to see it happen, but hard to be patient enough to watch without breathing on it or causing vibrations.

Mercy! I hope there wasn't any goldfish in there! A friend called & woke me early one morning me last year & told me to look out my window. I said "I can't. There's a bunch of white sh*t on it". ;)

The only ice we see is in the freezer Mike, amazing how water gets stiff when the cold sets in! :0)
