I always view art full size, and this portrait is gorgeous full size. Youve given strong, dominant stokes to this person's features---such strong strokes for the eyes & nostril, and those heavy reddish-black strokes for the hair. And yet the rest of the young person's face is so light. It's like this precious person is both flesh and light at the same time. And the patterns throughout the rest of the portrait seem like repetitions of angled lines, like reflections in multiple mirrors, like a theme & variations. Wonderful semi-geometrical patterns. Forgive me, I don't know if this child is male or female (I knew one "Zouzou," who was a French woman, but I don't know if that's the case here). But the portrait is very vital, it's painted with very powerful strokes, and you put green inside the red & black (on top) which is a wonderful contrast. A portrait of a young person deep in thought, yet bursting with energy. More beautiful work from you. (I wrote my comments last night, but I'm posting them now. So I'm looking at these a second time. This portrait almost looks like it was carved in pearl...it has an iridescent quality, like mother of pearl...)
