Description


Had some rains last night and did some rock turning this morning to see what was around. Found this young Jerusalem Cricket (Potato Bug). Was smaller than some I have seen at about 1" long (have seen some up to 3"). Seemed happy to pose for a few pics in the cold morning air. Thanks for looking. Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it. -Bruce PS ZOOM will get you closer than you probably want to be to it... lol

What a handsome creature! I love the details and those patterns on the sides of the head are amazing...WOW! I've always loved insects and this is why; when one actually stops to look at these little beauties, all sorts of wonders meet the eye. This is stellar work! Superb!
