Yes indeed! You have created the suspense of such a situation. I think it is the smoke from the stacks that does the trick. One gets the sense that the gigantic vessel is exerting a colossal effort to survive. Well conceived and beautifully executed!

I guess it's very hard to render a stormy ocean. This appears more like 'stranded in a fjord' to me, which makes this picture so intriguing.
