Description

Within the City of San Diego (where I live) is a major cultural center called Balboa Park. It is a vast complex consisting of zoos, art museums, anthropological centers, magnificent architecture, a world-class botanical garden, and an absolute panoply of professorial pontificates from the local colleges and universities. I, on occasion, have consulted for them in environmental matters. (No, I am not being paid to say this). Over the years, I have spent a great deal of time there, professionally and otherwise. It is known (particularly in its zoo exhibits) for replicating natural environments. Today’s rendering is of one of the many botanical exhibits (there is a central one and many in the zoo). This exhibit, in addition to many exotic species, contains some of the most beautiful roses imaginable. The fragrance alone is enough to make you swoon. And the colors! (Don’t get me started on the colors; you should see the orchids!) NOTE: The background in this image may be mistaken for a photograph. It is not. It is a fractal. It is one of 60 separate fractal renderings I created, for a video entitled “Fractal Rain Forests” uploaded a year ago in another venue. The foreground is a morphed bulb. Created in Ultra Fractal

This looks fantastic, Stan! And when I read your words, I would want to be there, for all to admire in botanical beauty. Now I am happy with this exceptional fractal, so very special.
