Description

MB3D/PSP Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are always appreciated. This is another try at using a photo as the background setting in a MB3D render. Getting a little better at controling the background image placement. A great deal of detail needs to be paid to the fog and ambient shadows to not obliterate the background. The one thing i still am not happy with yet is the background picture is not very clear focus. In some ways it adds a nice feature to the image. It looks like when you take a picture of something and focus on an image in the foreground, things in the back wont be as clearly focused. That helps add to the perception of depth. Have a great weekend. Yesterday's image: thumb_2139130.jpg

Cool image. I know what you mean about using a picture as a background. I have the same trouble. lol

A beautiful image of the "star region", Jim. The light flares add a particularly mysterious, magical touch. I think bulbs of all species are the most delightful fractal objects I have seen in a very long time. I never get tired of looking at the inventive ways people present them. Marvelous work!.

This is well done, Jim. It offers many opportunities to cut a piece and move on.

Very great problem with this background...I think they must be greater than the picture made in M/B !!!

Very nice work! I've about given up on using any background images due to the amount of tweaking needed to get any viable results

Super bulb work, great job. The BG image will never be sharp due to the interpolation performed by MB3D when inserting it in the image, actually a soft focused or preblurred image works better as a very sharp image can lead to artifacts caused by the interpolation process. Also matching Fog color to BG image seems to enhance the BG sometimes. Peace

A beautiful work and I love to see you experimenting, there are so many different ways to do things aren't there. I like the muted bg.
