Ah, there is the island of the three trees! Whenever I see it, I think how wonderful it would be to stand on that small island, under the huge tree, and circle around, looking at the view. The island being part of the view is pretty spectacular too. I love the way the trees frame the view of the lake, island and folly, like a curtain being opened and a fantasy world revealed. The light on the water leads the eye up to the folly, and the clouds. Beautiful composition, colors, and soft light. Excellent capture!

just trying to catch up some more...Another of your very thoughtful landscapes. The water of course is the perfect center (along with that tower in the background). But your capture of lush trees on either side "cushions" the shot., gives it soft shoulders. This is in a dark key, but it's intense & colorful all the same. And the winding river & its shimmer is beautiful. I know these scenes are very photogenic, but they always seemed difficult for that very reason: One has to work hard to get past the obvious and penetrate the inner language of such places; and I always felt you did the latter. A beautiful dark shot that's still about color. This area is famous, and from galleries like yours, I can see why...
