Description

Funny title eh! Best I could do with no brain at all. Have you noticed lately that more and more character products are taking on this gloss finish to the skin in Poser. They may have been designed for rendering in Studio, which makes it a bugger to get rid of with Posers different lighting models. Must be wary of this. Thanks for stopping by. Deane

Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing and you have to be really careful with your lighting and maybe even have to stoop to the materials room. Now that there is a lady I don't want to mess with. Nicely done.

This looks almost like a watercolor--very pretty! I can see that she is shiny--must be a specularity map turned up too high? Or maybe it's just hot there;)

No, it is only the lack of quality... The sales ates up quality :( They all go back to low quality... They have to produce fast and faster, because of low prices... welcome back to happy P3-Times... low poly, low textures... If you like the new ideas behind the new products, and want affort some work for your beautiful images, then check, the smoothing angle and raise it, look in the material-room, and set the quality to "none", and leave chars, that have not the option "No Shaders" because Shaders react with lights very badly, if overdone... Phew, now my mouth is dry... Cheers..

No brain? Turns out you don't need one! Just have your friends remind you to breathe every now and then. Nice work.

KInd of like the sheen on this image but it can be a pain when you really don't want it. Who needs a brain these days anyway.!

maybe these new skin posers have been rolling in oil like in the movie the transporter??? lol.... I know, lame... but dripping death??? LOL I was expecting some blood, not clammy hands - lol... still looks good. with this shiney skin stuff, one might be tempted to do shower scenes, beach scenes or some wild man stuffing someone down into the sewage scenes.... Next scene? here's a title for ya, do something with it, and it fits your skins - YA GIVE ME FEVER

Love this - shine and all! I think it adds something special to this particular render....like everything else, it's how you handle it, and how well you know your program. Poser makes my fur fall out, especially the material room, so I avoid it like the plague LOL - now I'm gonna have this "shine" thing on the brain.... I love your choices for this piece - everything flows together beautifully...and the shine looks like it's illuminating something dead, yet still beautiful - as a pagan hamster, this is very appealing to me!

Yeah, I've had to adjust every recently released texture (skin or otherwise) to get it to look OK in Carrara too. I suspect Daz wants stuff to look good with the Lux render engine, so it comes out a bit odd with other render software. Really nice work on the posing and dramatic camera angle on this!

Interesting, but your center of focus is ruined with that splash in the background behind your figures head.

I've noticed the shine too...still trying to figure out a fix for it...I think some of it has to do with the light sets used in rendering as well. Coming from a DAZ background, I'll let you know if I come up with something. :) As for the image, BRILLIANT!!! The askewed camera angle really adds a punch!
