Location: Berlin-Mitte; Brandenburger Tor Hello friends, asking Berlinians from East and West-Berlin, where the center of Berlin is, you will get different answers: West-Berlinians will answer: The Zoological Garden with the Gedaechtnis - Church nearby; East-Berlinians will answer: The Alexander-Plaza with the TV Tower is center of the city, what else? But Berlinians from east and west have only one meaning: THIS here is the center, the Brandenburg gate, which was closed with a wall for 28 long years, and which is situated directly at the wall, the frontline between two parts of the world who were enemies.... In the "Festival of Lights" event this here is the most important gem of the whole collection, because it is well known to every tourist, too. To take a picture like this you have to come very late in the evening, around midnight or later, and not at a weekend; it is mostly overcrowded. Done 26th October 2009 at 00:49 A.M with tripod. Dear friends; I am sitting here in Duesseldorf in the moment, where my wife lives, so I cannot get your notifications at the moment.
