Ana, this reminds me a little about my EX-mother in law. She was a very sweet and mild lady, that I loved dearly. In My eyes, you dont need to do more on this piece, as I love it just as it is. You drew her face and the hand (which are the most important) with such a grace and love. Ana, I think you did a gorgeous job. You are a master in ArtRage, my friend. :-D

yes, a masterpiece. Another of your mountain-like portraits of an older woman, who sits like the Rock of Gibraltar, and who looks like she couldn't be moved by a hurricane or earthquake. She's that strong. Her face is round & full, and you capture age in humans as few artists I can. Her lips & eyes show great intensity, they show the soul of a person who's been through a lot but is not broken-down by any of it. You give just enough detail to the hair to make it alive and scraggly and fussy---the hair has personality. And the wrinkles in her neck are just enough to show the dignity and 'music' of age. You also draw/paint hands & feet like few artists I know: the chubby age-bitten fingers, and those wonderful feet---one foot resting against the other---are some of your trademarks, ana. Those feet---and the thick old ankles & lower legs---are just wonderful, and deeply human. And you clothe her in a wholly white gown & head-dress, as if she were a freira, a nun---but actually she doesn't look like a nun so much as an angel. An angel who embraces her age, who embraces the hardships of life, and who sits like a mountain and seems to have the compassion of the world in her gaze. An angel who understands real life & who has lived it. The piece doesn't need more work, it sings as it is, your fractal background is perfect, and your choice to color her face & hands and rod/staff are also perfect: Because you've given color & life to the strongest parts of her, as well as to the staff that connects her to earth. And the title---"i will fly": Well, it's as if this mountainous woman is dreaming of the cosmos, and flies through it, in her heart. A beautiful piece, and another reason why you're one of the best artists here. A truly human portrait in every way.

coolness. seems like i played with art rage but can't recall LOL - no memory left. Interesting juxtaposition with the background; in particular i like the figure, she's interesting and the sketchy bits work well. Nicely done indeed. I just have to make time to look at RR 2d! Thanks for the email btw, cheers, tim

Sometimes and image can be finished even when it is not what we planned. This is lovely and evokes a sadness, yet at the same time, a glimmer of hope.
