Nice work. One often doesn't think of gladiatorial professionals as being particularly sad--though quite a few of them likely were. On top of that, this is quite a successful, stirring, and humanistic image. Very well done, and nicely detailed. I love the light and shadows, the skin contrast to the leather and the whole composition. The naturalistic pose works well too. Nice. Very nice.
