Description

ZOOM! I left this big. Seattle skyline again. This one isn't a pano ... it's a single image, cropped down and postworked. Bill and I are having the best time fiddling around with the cityscapes we shot when we were in West Seattle this weekend! This one was taken at the same time as the others. It's a daylight shot ... we didn't sit there and wait until it got dark. I just love postwork. What a hoot! :)

Version #4 sparkles in yet another way...noir, no less. RodS has suggested we visit for night shots which sounds good to me for some future, clear night. So, there may be a #5 and #6 yet to come. I saw you postwork this but got lost after about your third or fourth step. I totally agree with MrsRatbag, postwork often times is more than half the fun. Well done you:)

Now this is SO GOOD. Let's see... first you inversed the image, then you..., no, you didn't because you have the sun refection in the windows, so you...??? Aw, shucks! I give up! Now, just HOW did you do this? Looks like real fun with Photoshop, plus some SECRETS! Looking foreward to more, and some secrets! :-)

This is really cool, Tara - I like the effects you've brought out, here! Isn't messing around in Photoshop/Gimp/PSP/etc just more fun tan a barrel of monkeys? I could spend literally HOURS just playing with stuff like this. Really nice! You and Bill ought to go back at night, and get this shot. Think of the postwork possibilities of that! :-D

City at dark. City at night would have been City nuit. But you knew that. Interesting!, as Andrea likes to say.

Gorgeous work! I know some of the effects used in this, but have yet to use them myself...and I love the blending, the melding, the overall sense of orchestration; this is having a really great effect on me. I love the color tones, the reflection on the water, bright in all of that darkness...and I like that the darkness is textured, rich and detailed. There's so much to see in this, so much to enjoy and I'm enjoying it immensely. It makes me want to write! That is always a good thing!
