Description

Seasonal Greetings To All... (Card # 10) "Christmas Eve 1962" ** 11 hours 26 minutes and 18 seconds to render ** Took the 1st render simply because I was happy with it/no visible mistakes and for the fact I didn't want to wait another 11 hours..lol... I got to stop pushing Bryce to it's limits or maybe just quit trying to shove so much into my scenes or back off on the special effects or....or....or...lol... Well for those that have followed along and have commented and viewed my 2010 Christmas Card Series I bring you my final card design for this year. What better way to end this series is with something that is close to my heart and that's my 1st Christmas..even though I would of only been 5 weeks old it still was my 1st Christmas and so I found some props and tried to create what it might of looked like waaaay back then..I picture my dad standing on the porch thinking to himself...thank you lord for giving me another son..At least I'm hoping maybe he was thinking that but in reality it was more like...oh great...here we go again....lol... Anyone here that is as old as me or older can remember those BIG ASS outdoor Christmas Bulbs that your folks had way back then..I see they are making a comeback once again after noticing them at a local store the other day ...Of course they are a hard plastic bulb not the glass like used in the past...still though...they sure are pretty when displayed for all to see.. I'm still creating Winter/Scenic/Landscapes but not categorized as Christmas Cards...Though they will and still could be used as such there won't be any text or saying on them...I will leave that up to the individual to decide. This is the season where I am the most creative simply because I Love Christmas Time...Always have always will no matter what life throws at me.. Seasons Greetings to one and all from my family to yours.... Many Thanks for your continued interest/support and views and comments.Your all the best and am so happy I decided to come back and start sharing my art once again. Happy Holidays!! -=Will=- Created in Bryce 7 with post work in Adobe Elements 8.. Cars,Houses,Street Lamps from Archive3d.net.. Everything else is a Bryce preset..(i.e) trees, rocks, bushes, falling snow..ect.

Excellent snow I understand why it took 11 and a half hours to render it! Very nice Christmas mood.

I remember those big ass bulbs, I also remember the not quite so big ass bulbs we wrapped around our pathetic little tree. Untangling them was almost always a full project in itself lol.

All that snow and snow flakes does have a way of putting your render time through the roof. Is that a late fifties Olds 98 I see parked in the drive way. What a fantastic scene. Most certainly remember those "Big Ass" lights and as mentioned I also remember the tangled mess of wire. I also remember trying to get a huge tree into a huge bucket of water to keep up with safety standards which did not for all practical purposes exist at the time. Tree fires were a common occurrence. The houses and lighting are phenomenal in this holiday scene Will. You've out done yourself buddy ! Of the 10 this is the one for me. Awesome art ! George
