Description

Clear and cold version of my previous post thumb_2140300.jpg Actually this new one is pretty much how it looks in my country Denmark right now. Yesterday was the coldest day in November for more than a 100 years. I'm already a bit tired of the snow, but there's more to come :) Vue 8.4 render, the majority of the models and textures by me. Some corrections and subtle lensglare filter, framing & signature with Photoshop. "Eurasian Jay" from DAZ / Ken Gilliland (a common bird in the forests in our part of the world). Thanks for viewing, comments etc. always welcome and appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

Fantastic render my friend. Looks very much like the area I live in up in the North Woods of Upper Michigan. Beautiful work and very photo realistic!!!

But now it is perfect. The path is not ambiguous anymore and the slightly bluish tone enhance everything. What is the dimensions? It really would be a shame if this was not born as a large ciglee print or even better acrylic on ink.

That's perfect! The light is just right for the chill factor. Looks pretty much like that over most of UK at the moment too. Coldest temp last night was in the Scottish Highlands - around -21C, here it was about -7

If that's what it looks like there it really is beautiful in Denmark! You've really captured the wintery feel. Fabulous lighting on the little bird!!

i like this one much better, even though the other was incredibly good. the scenery is at the same excellent level, but the i find the light much more striking and interesting. that said, i'm not a good judge of winter scenes. i haven't seen snow in years. i was terribly cold last night because it got down to freezing (which it's not supposed to do again for ages). and it's about 30 or so degrees Fahrenheit warmer in the day. i miss icy scenes like this.

Love the lighting and snow mat. Are the snow mats just a layer of snow material enviro blended to make them appear on top? I've used that technique but not on leaf material yet. It would be neat if there was a way to make the snow sit on top of needles, such as using metablobs as an eco mat. However metablobs don't render when used as an ecosystem. Pity.
