Hope your mom is feeling better, Steve. Good thoughts to her. I like how this isn't an attic and the stairs led down to it. Music is a powerful muse (I've used it for fiction) and when it's right, it's right. This is right. It's a complete image that allows your character to tell her story. I especially like the mirror on the table and the odd image on the mirror (or its back). Great color on the smoke wisps. Just incredible detail throughout!

She certainly appears to have found a sanctuary albeit she's gathered a little friend to share it with. Really nicely done, Steve, vibrant FX and coloring and a wealth of detail everywhere one looks. I use music alot for inspiration as well and have actually posted a couple of different images with a pop-out player that has the song that I worked from here in my gallery.
