Description
I need more practice with framing, but the only way to get there is by posting my attempts. I intentionally blurred the outer fringe of the 'smoke' - does that add to or subtract from the image?

Personally, I think that because the whole thing is kind of a dark image, and because it appears as if you have put a sort of dark glow/shadow around and behind the image (perhaps feathered the edges before laying it upon the texture?), that it would be more effective for the edges to pop out a little, giving it some depth, rather than it fading into the background. But this could just be personal preference. I tend to like dynamic, graphically strong images, though that can change depending upon the image and the way it's conveyed. I do like the way the right side of the frac does move forwards out of the shadows, while the rest sort of recede, but the fractal itself does not have a lot of 3D space simply due to its form and shape, unlike some of your other fracs. This isn't a bad thing, just an observation, and because of that, I wouldn't have a problem with seeing those edges move out of the shadows. Well, THAT was a tome; sorry you asked now? :)

I like this one. Great colors! And I've always been partial to IFS images.
