Description

Loreth Perayes rode the Tube home every night at this time after another typically long and diffcult 16 hour shift in the New Terra Therozin mines. Therozin was a self actuating, some say self aware, naturally occuring gemstone. All the new tech here was based on it. In that harvasting it was critically vital to the continued success of terraforming this planet, she was thankful for her role in keeping it in supply. In reality she was sitting alone on the last train heading out of the city, but in her nueral optic interface she was already home running through a variety of thought activated start up commands to power up her bio-pod apartment, which unfortunately was on the outer habitation rim and over an hour from her workplace. She loved her work and the adventure of helping to colonize a brand new (at least to humans) world, but was she ever beat. Her job at the mines was both technical and laborious. Yes, indeed, these late nights were a bitch. No doubt about it.
