Description

Not a good day at all for me with Poser. Really liked how this character and outfit turned out and hit 'render'. After long minutes the program said 'not responding'. Rebuilt the image from scratch and tried again. Same result and same freeze. Thought it was the mat files I used on the dress, but nope, turns out it was the hair. Soon as I changed it no problem. I'd wasted several hours trying to figure out what was wrong and to render my original idea. It was definitely the hair I just bought but I've no idea why it freezes Poser. Too bad, too, because that was great hair and perfect for the scene. Then of course I had to greatly reduce the size of this image to fit Rendo size limits. Not a good poser day today at all for me. Oh well. There's always next time. :)

Yes, I know what you mean - I've had the same experience. Try saving the image before rendering - it saves a ton of time and work. Then eliminate one object and see if it will render. Then eliminates something else, until you find what works. Then you can do one render that works, and a second where you remove a lot so that you can render the part that hangs the computer. Then composite the two images in Photoshop. Your efforts have really paid off well. The background is like an old Christmas card, and her face and pose suggest earlier disappointments and a yearning she'll get her desire this time. The little teddy bear adds a final touch of feelings. Keep up the good work! :-)

Lovely. You've made me want to get these backgrounds. Yes, certain hairs will freeze Poser 7 if they are polygon intensive. Poser 8 and PoserPro2010 do better with memory allocations.

Looks to me you had a success despite your render issue. Perfect seasonal. (*may want to render each item you have for the figure as a png and then assemble them in graphic program) But you did achieve a Beauty! Bravo!

It can be so frustrating can't it, but I think you have ended up with a great image with lovely lighting and a very mellow look.
